Hogsmeade Station's Help Save Harry Potter!!!

Hermione and I have a bit of a problem with some of the HP merchandise that we have seen in stores and on-line. Although there are some decent items that we ourselves have bought, for every one nice thing, there are five not-so-nice things, and five $20.00 pieces of plastic with 'Harry Potter' written on them. The more we see these junky items, the angrier we get. So, we have decided to start a petition to let Warner Bros know that all of this merchandise may in effect turn people off of the books, and therefore turn them away from the movie(s) as well. We strongly believe that people are starting to forget that Harry Potter is about the books, and always will be about the books. Sure, the movies will probably be great and we both look forward to seeing them, and it is nice to have a bit of HP memorabilia. However, we feel that Warner Bros is overdoing it. We just don't want the junk to take away from the magic of the books!

We plan to send Warner Bros a letter and an e-mail with a list of names and e-mail addresses of those who agree with us on the issue. This will be done by having people sending us their name and e-mail address through our website or any other website that supports us. We may also enclose a list of the items that we feel are overpriced and/or not of good quality. We will not in any way make Warner Bros feel that we are against the movies, because we're really looking forward to seeing them, and we will make sure to tell them that. This is just about the over-merchandising.

If you agree with us and our idea, we would really appreciate your help by e-mailing one of us your name, e-mail address, and possibly a comment on the issue. We hope to get as many people to participate as possible, because we're doing this for the books! If any of you Webmasters see this, please post a link on your website to this page, as we will need as much help as we can get.

Remember, every name counts - you can help save Harry Potter!!!

Sincerely, Hermione and Cho
